Beau Bogard was the original member of Carter Road.  In January 2006, he met up with a friend and starting
playing around all the time dreaming of putting a band together.  His roommate, Robby Klauder, also wanted
to take part and transformed over from a guitarist to a bass player.  Time went on and changes were made
throughout the band, and good things just began to happen.

Beau began playing the guitar some years ago but never really put any emphasis on playing lead.  He always
just wanted to be that guy with the acoustic guitar jamming out at someone’s house.  Well for the first couple
months of playing, his nickname was “intro to intro” because he could play the first 20 seconds to probably
over 100 songs.  That phase was soon up and he began learning every song he could possibly think of,
focusing much of his interest with 90’s grunge bands and somewhat lighter styles.   It was the band’s
interest in this genre that opened all the doors, bands were not playing
these songs too much around their hometown.

Beau comes from no musical background whatsoever.  Boredom and frat life was the leading cause of
picking up the guitar, and has in return blessed him with so many memories that he believes he may have
never had otherwise.

Growing up, he never really idolized anyone.  He was raised listening to Oldies and Country, which is still
where his heart is, but you won’t catch it on his radio stations.  Beau has begun to really fall for the Fall Out
Boys, The Kill, 30 Seconds to Mars type sound, and would love incorporating this genre into CRD’s already
growing set.

Beau is a full time student majoring in engineering, while at the same time being CRD’s manager and
booking “agent”.  He has traveled over 2,000 miles handing out demos and has sent out over 500 emails
spreading the sounds of Carter Road to anyone who would listen.  Taking no for an answer has definitely not
been his approach.  “Bars would tell me they could not book us….they never heard us or seen us before….”
but it’s amazing that those same bars are now booking CRD months in advance.  “Without the support of my
wonderful girlfriend Katie, my family’s constant praise, and my sister giving me my first guitar, I truly believe I
would not be where I am today."
